Sky digibox dialler expat products are aimed for use with sky digiboxes located outside the UK. From only £34.95 we have several supported sky digibox dialler variants
available.
The UK sky digital television satellite digiboxes are designed for the UK telephone system. When connected to phone systems abroad, calls fail because the digibox functions as if it
were in the UK. .
The sky digibox dialler overcomes this, it connects the digibox to your phone line. You select a PPV event via your remote control and when the digibox phones sky, the call routes
automatically as if it were in the UK, the call connects and authorises your card for the event. Your purchase will be added to your monthly bill.
The Sky dialler can be used with contract digiboxes, if you plan to take your sky digibox from the UK to Europe just attach the dialler and your box will continue to callback Sky as if it were in
the UK. You can use the sky digibox dialler with any analogue telephone line. It will not work with an ISDN line. Most ISDN terminals also have an analogue fax input, if so then connect the digibox
dialler like a fax machine or modem.
The sky diallers work all over the EU and in most other countries. They can be
used with subsidised as well as unsubsidised digiboxes. Further more these
little units can also be used behind a pabx, we will customise them to suit your
installation, but cannot add stars, or pounds to the dial prefixes. We have
found that with many models of dialler that the reliability with digiboxes is
not very good, we have however made extensive testing with the models shown
below and these work.

A line powered dialler is good for most digiboxes and normal analogue lines, the mains powered dialler is good for cable lines and older sky
digiboxes. If you are using a modern digibox such as pace DS430N / DS440N the line
powered digidialer is perfectly suited. ISDN analogue outputs are not
normal analogue lines, these need a powered unit.
Please note - none of the diallers listed here
will support multiroom discount, nor will they function to connect a digibox to
sky from overseas (or the UK) using VOIP lines.
You must have a suitable analogue telephone line. For analogue
service derived from a ISDN TA, the powered version is recommended as dialler
needs to draw current from the line, the same applies to analogue services from an IP ATA
- but these also need a service capable of
supporting MOIP - possibly some IP providers with FOIP services will work but this
cannot be assured. You must be able to adapt from (US style) RJ11 or BT (NZ)
connector to your local telephone company.

Sky Premier Digibox Dialler
The premier sky digibox dialler is a fully featured digibox dialler for the sky home end-user it permits access to sky interactive services when using the sky digibox abroad,
(see
below). Has been tested with SkyHD. This dialler can be reprogrammed when
updates to services are available. Perfect for Sky HD. Tested regularly,
support is available, trade and multiple quantity orders by request. Please see

1) Does the dialler work for multi-room discount?
Not at this time.
2) Does it work with Sky+ ?
Yes for box office, Yes for most but not all initial activations.
3) Can I connect more than one digibox?
Yes, the unit has two inputs. You can connect two digiboxes without additional adaptors.
4) Can I use it with Telefonica?
Yes, The dialler is pan-European approved for connection to the public switched telephone network.
5) Do you accept Visa?
Yes, we accept paypal, you don't need a paypal account you can pay by Visa Card, Master Card, even E-Cheque which permits bank transfers.
Alternative methods on request. We can also take your order via the telephone.
6) Can I order more than 1?
yes contact us and we offer a discount on postage and packing for combined orders and further discounts for bulk traders. Sign up as an affiliate reseller if you want to earn some spare
cash.
7) What support do you offer?
We offer full after-sales support, every sky digibox dialler sent is assigned a unique serial number, with this number and some questions about your sky digibox and dialler installation we can
provide full support.
8) Does this unit work for Irish Sky?
No, this unit is for UK originated Sky Subscriptions only. We have not tested it with Irish Sky Subscriptions.
We intend to perform tests on Irish Sky shortly.
9) Does this unit work with all interactive services?
No, although theoretically possible to use all interactive services, the costs for connecting calls to premium rate services like sky-gamestar would be prohibitive. If there is demand for specific
services not listed we may consider expanding the availability of services to meet demand.
10) I have seen other sky digibox dialler products on the market are they the same?
Possibly we sell these to traders, who call them by other names such as digi-diallers, auto-diallers, sky-dialler, super-diallers sky dialer, etc. If you are living overseas and need some more help or advice then contact us we will gladly support you.
11) Is there any recommended steps for using the sky digibox dialler?
Yes, we draw your attention to the sky contract terms and conditions and disclaimer laid out on this page.
We recommend that you keep the dialler plugged in at all times so as not to miss scheduled calls "home". Sky digiboxes periodically call home in order to upload data, and not always at the time you
place the order via the remote control, if you miss too many calls sky may cancel interactive service access.
12) Do they work outside Europe?
Yes, if you are outside Europe in a Fringe area such as Israel, North Africa
etc, the diallers will still work. Shipping costs and programming need to be
modified so contact us for details and tailored quote.
13) Can a dialler
be used to match an existing card with a new digibox?
No, - it can only be used to activate new subscription cards and report new
installations, if your simply upgrading your receiver then you need to contact
Sky since this is done manually.
14) Can you change
the prefix to with-hold my caller ID in Spain?
Yes
15) Can the
digidialler be used for ROI Subscriptions?
Not at this time.
16) I live in
Israel, I want to use 001444 as a prefix with the dialler to get a call
discount, can you provide the dialler programmed in such a manner?
Yes , we will change the default dialing to match your requirements, but
you should be aware that it might not work over budget call by call lines, the
service provider may be using voip and as such any modem data call would not
work. We will provide instructions to change this programming should this be the
case.
17) Why can the
digidialler not support multiroom discount?
This is a common question but the explanation is lengthy please check the

18) You list
dominoes Pizza ordering as a functional service, how do I order a pizza if I
live in Spain, France, Turkey etc?
The services which are listed are those which can be connected to, whether they
function for you correctly or not is not guaranteed - when using any of the
interactive services you have to be able to meet most of the terms and conditions
of those services - if the service requires a valid UK address or postal
confirmation for use of those services then unless you can meet those terms
don't use them.
19) Can you assure
me the dialler will work for my digibox?
No, we cannot - we can only tell you the dialler will work with most digiboxes
and most analogue lines abroad, there can be several reasons why the digidialler
will not work for you, including defective modem, voice over ip services, poor
quality lines etc, - if you are having problems please contact us, we will try
to support you, or you can return the unit in accordance with our terms and
conditions.

I have connected the dialler and the digibox shows the phone line is connected
but I still get a telephone number to dial when I select a PPV event, what can
be the problem?
If your digibox has not called sky in a long time it maybe disabled for
interactive services, you or your agent, friend or family member should call Sky
from the UK and get this restriction lifted, if the restriction is in place
what happens is the digibox will call a dummy number instead of the modem bank
connected to it's billing servers.

How do I know the dialler has worked?
Check a service like sky vegas, if this works then the dialler is working, but
more importantly if you are ordering box office movies or pay per view events
then you should check that your billing in the next month or very latest the
month after reflects this order - if it does not then something could be wrong
with your installation or digibox.

The digidialler is not working for me - now what?
You should contact us for support, if we cannot fix your problem for you
then we will accept return of the dialler subject to the payment of a small fee but
only within the first two months following the order. This does not
affect your rights under our standard terms and conditions and is merely an
extension of our warranty to you.

Do you guarantee the listed services will continue to work?
We cannot guarantee this - we will however do our best to ensure limited
functionality for activations and call backs can be provided - should this
become necessary information will be added to this page and if necessary the
product will be withdrawn.

Can you supply a dialler to with-hold my caller ID in Germany?
Yes, but without warranty. The problem is that in Germany the prefix used to
with-hold caller ID is *31# and the model we supply cannot have *or# in the dial
out prefix. We can supply a different model capable of adding stars or pounds in
the prefixes but they may not work with your digibox, as such they can only be
supplied as programmable units and we exclude requests to support functionality
for a digibox. You would be purchasing on this understanding, our recommendation
is to select one of our digidiallers and have the number with-held by
T-Com.

What type of power supply is needed for the mains powered units?
9-12V DC Barrel connector with a positive centre.

Can you supply a power supply for the mains powered units?
We can but it will add significant costs to shipping, and also cannot be
guaranteed to fit your mains outlet without some form of travel adaptor.
26)
How do updates work, how are they applied?
There is two options, we can supply updates via email free of charge on request
only, or you can return the dialler for re-programming. The costs for which and
methods of payment can be found on our support pages

Can you always guarantee services will work?
We cannot, sorry, if number changes occur services might cease to function, we
can investigate and possibly provide solutions but this may not always be
possible, the usage of the dialler and functionality is not and cannot be
guaranteed because some aspects of telephone routing are beyond our control.

Can you tell me what the versions are?
Yes, version 1 was fixed program dialer limited to one number, vsn 2 is a
reprogrammable unit currently routing those numbers which are possible without
much else, vsn 3 is proposed but with a
larger route table for specific services. The vsn 3
dialer router is not yet released, users with vsn 2 will be able to upgrade to
vsn3 by returning the unit in the post for reprogramming this will incur a small
charge plus postage. We may choose not to release vsn 3 for sometime.

Dialler not working can you help?
Yes, typical problems include, telephone settings in the digibox being set to
pulse dialing, replacing the supplied cabling with own cabling, not following
instructions correctly, if you are sure you've checked all these points then
contact us and we will assist you.

The dialler products can be used without problem for those interactive services which don't need a viewing card, e.g. NHS Direct, and Direct Gov these services can be accessed
overseas without a viewing card but a dialler is still needed...
