Freesat is subscription free you do not need to purchase an ongoing subscription. The EPG list on this page is for the official freesat boxes, with services being carried on Astra at 28.2E, if you have an existing dish it may allready be suitable. The freesat EPG numbers below were checked using the latest Bush BFSAT01SD receiver and a Glasgow Postcode

Freesat offers a great choice of channels from entertainment and children’s to movies and music. Plus you get free HD programmes. All for no extra cost. Freesat offers something spectacular for everyone, and the 7-day on-screen programme guide makes it easy to choose what to watch.

HD means brilliant quality viewing. Up to five times more picture detail gives you deeper, richer, more lifelike colours and amazing sound. All you need is an HD Ready TV or projector connected to a freesat HD digital box, or TV with freesat HD built in. The graphic below represents just a taste of the channels available. Channel Five will be available soon. The current EPG Channel list is further down this page.

The content of this page will change as more channels are added. Broadcasters pay to get their channels listed in the EPG this means many unreceivable scrambled channels carried on the same satellite which will not be available on an official freesat box do not clutter up the programme guide. It is entirely possible that some channels in the official freesat EPG would not appear in a sky box EPG and vice versa.

The EPG lineup is setup when you first enter the postcode for the box (which can be changed later). This Freesat EPG number plan is derived from entering a G72 Glasgow postcode during setup, the regional lineup can be changed at a later time by entering a new postcode for example if you select a postcode from London then the ITV 103 regional variation wil be ITV 1 London. Adding Channels not included in the EPG

NB: Based on a test with the Bush Freesat box BFSAT01SD

Press Menu - then select (2) Settings.
Scroll down to show Non-Freesat Services and select this, set it to yes.
Now go to add Non_Freesat services and select this - you will be taken to a manual tuning page, from this enter the paramaters for the channel you wish to add. Take as example Sky News. It is broadcast on a transponder with the following paramaters:

Transponder Frequency : 12207
Polarity : Veritcal
Symbol Rate : 27500
So you would enter those into the manual tuning - and then start the scan. Once complete any FTA channels on that transponder are now stored in the receiver.

Viewing those channels
Exit away from the menu.
Press the Channel List Button on the remote, now press the swap button and the list will change to the menu with the non-freesat (or added services).

Suggested Additions
How to use this list, the following is a list of transponders, channels periodically change on the transponders, scanning them may add new channels, where we see a benefit for scanning the transponder with the freesat box we have added some notes. The detail is provided for guidance only and is intended for official freesat boxes, the lists may not always reflect the current state. You can refer to such sites as Lyngsat.com for up to date channel frequencies and transponder lists.

The transponder lists below are not exhaustive, but rather thosed used with FTA services, we will expand detail as we have time to test it.
