An IP Phone like this connects directly into the router enabling you
to make and receive calls even if the PC is switched off, naturally you
would need a ADSL modem or internet connection which has an Ethernet
Port if you only have a USB ADSL Modem then we suggest you replace it. |

If you don't want to replace your existing traditional phones an ATA
is needed, this device also requires an Ethernet LAN connection, the
model shown here allows two separate phones to be connected
independently.
If you already have an ADSL modem with LAN ports then this is most
likely what you'll need.
With an ATA you keep your existing phones. The Cisco linksys PAPT2 is
the model pictured. |

If you have the USB version of the ADSL router you'll want to change
this to give you LAN Ports, the model pictured here has been tested on
WOW without problems. |

If your in a business with more than 2 lines then a gateway is more
likely the better choice, the gateway links to your existing PABX and
internet service |

USB Phones - only need a part time solution for outgoing calls, then
using a USB phone and a small bit of desktop software is also possible -
this the cheapest option of them all. |

How much does it cost to make calls?
The standard tariffs and
options are shown below, it is also important to note that the billing is per
second, and not per minute or other intervals like some providers, this can also
have a significant impact especially on high usage accounts with frequent calls.
